Home Is Where The "Nigh-Nigh" Is

Avee wanted to go outside. So she did. I called her back in to put on a jacket. I said, "Avee, it's too cold outside to play without a jacket, put a jacket on and you can go back outside."
This was her response:

Perhaps we do not speak the same language.

I'd just like to point out, getting her blanket off of her bed, spreading it out on the stairs, and finding an illegal binky, all took considerably more time and effort than putting on a jacket would have.

Exactly how is the binky "illegal"?

How CAH-UTE! Have you tried cutting the tip off the soother, so it's not the same whe n she sucks on it? I wouldn't know by experience, but I have heard it works great. I guess she just couldn't be bothered getiing a jacket on. I can me like that, but when you get older, it's called being lazy and it sure isn't cute. Man I wish I was a kid again.

Poor little one! A nigh-nigh is important, though. And a nigh-nigh with a binky is irresistable!

Illegal binky.
I bet you meant "undocumented binky".

I have GOT to remember to turn the sound down when I come to nobody's blog in the middle of the night.

She is adorable...and maybe the nigh-nigh and binkie were less an act of resistance and more an act of finding something much better than getting fresh air and exercise? I mean, if I could conjur up a soft blankie, something good to put in my mouth, and a spot to lay where I fit just right, I'd sure choose that over a jacket and social interaction any day. :)

This post is quintessential Avee, though - and I love 'er!

If you are too tired to get your coat and go outside, you are too tired.
