This One Is My Favorite By Far

I've seen some good chain letters in my day, but this one is by far the best, if for nothing other than the compelling reasons for why it should be passed on. I think I'm going to start a work-at-home business of creating chain letters. I think I could be really good at it.

I hope I don't lose a job I don't even have....

Dear Friends,
Please see attached PICTURE carefully.
The President of Argentina received this picture and called it 'junk mail.' Eight days later, his son died. A man received this picture and immediately sent out copies. His surprise was winning the lottery. Alberto Martinez received this picture, gave it to his secretary to make copies but they forgot to distribute it. She lost her job and he lost his family. This picture is miraculous and sacred, don't forget to forward this within 13 days to at least 20 people. Do Not Forget to forward and you will receive a huge surprise!!

For the love of all that is true and worthwhile, do NOT call this 'junk mail.' At least not out loud.

in the words of my son, "what the . . . "

i tried enlarging the picture to get a better idea of its sacredness, but, alas, it's not working. i better watch my back. :)

I wonder what the punishment for making fun of it is.

Not that I would.

uhhhhh...what is it?

And I'm wondering if posting it on your blog counts as forwarding it. And if my seeing it counts as receiving it and that I need to forward it. And of posting a link on my blog would count as forwarding it or if I have to follow the sacred and miraculous rite of e-mail forwarding...hmmmm.

And I'm wondering the same thing as NCS. Also, not because I would ever make fun of it. Ever.

I also want some clarification. Some facts, Ma'am. What do you mean, "lost his family?" and "lost her job"? Did they slip down between the cushions of the couch (or the crack between the counter and the stove)? Oh - maybe the job thing was for being the kind of secretary who could fail to make copies like he asked AND allow his fmaily to slip down that crack...?But how big of a surprise could winning the lottery be if you buy enough tickets? I am just too confused to take action on this one.

What I really want is for you to start a letter...THAT would be awesome.

Please let us know what wonders befall you since you have passed it on to the world wide internets. That has to be worth something really really big!

Oh man...I think I deleted that.

Do you think I should rush my sons off to the hospital right this minute or could I wait until they started to show some symptoms?

Tripe mail! I always delete these. So far, so good.

Crap! Now I have to think of people to send this to, before my pet dies. Wouldn't that suck if he did because I am making fun of this letter. Thanks a lot!

okay... my question is who in your email address book took this letter seriously enough to send it to you in the first place, hmmmm?

HEY! When you win the lottery remember your token ethnic friend!

BTW: I didn't lie when I said I'd "come by and say Hi". I merely changed things a bit.

Anyway, remember your token ethnic friend!

I'm all atwitter. What if your email gets rid of all that stuff? Man, I am so screwed.

Does that mean if we don't repost it on our own blogs that we will also be cursed by the idolatrous picture?

The real reason that Alberto lost his family and the secretary lost her job was because they already had a thing going on, but got carried away while she was making the copies...

Or Even better the secretary lost her job because she got caught making the copies and was fired for the theftage of company property. Once Alberto's family found out that it was his fault and he failed to right the injustice they turned their backs on him.
